CCDPRJ Special Report - “Forced Displacement of Bedouins - An Ethnic Cleansing”
May 10th, 2008Palestinian Bedouins in the Occupied territories in general and in Jerusalem area in particular are facing serious and critical threat to their lands, lives and survival by the Israeli occupation, being in the frontline against Israeli expansion, based on ongoing land appropriation and settlement for the realization of the Greater Jerusalem Scheme.
In light of the intensified campaign to forcibly displace the Bedouins of Jerusalem area, researchers from the Land Research Center (LRC) conducted a field research within the activities of the housing and residency rights campaign managed by the Civic Coalition for Defending Palestinians’ Rights in Jerusalem (CCDPRJ). Conducted in January 2008, this research involved 10 Bedouin communities in the west, north and east of Jerusalem and aimed to loudly echo the voice of the Bedouins: “Get your hands off us… Let us back to Beersheba, from which you forcibly displaced us.”
Briefing: CCDPRJ - New measures to consolidate Israeli control of East Jerusalem during March 2008

Jerusalem Arab Chambers of Commerce: Impact of the racial separation wall on the different Economic Sectors in East Jerusalem
July 1st, 2006
Study from the Jerusalem Arab Chambers of Commerce and Industry outlining the effect of the Wall on the economy of East Jerusalem.
The racial separating wall surrounding East Jerusalem is considered as one of the most important factors, which has a negative impact on the economy of East Jerusalem. Everybody can realize the Israeli political, economical, social, and security goals, that had led East Jerusalem become mere of its natural link with its other Palestinian territories, and would be allowed to be opened only towards the west side, i.e. towards Israel.

Study: PCC - The Jerusalem Masterplan 2000
June 1st, 2006
The Palestinian Counselling Centre present a full translation of the Jerusalem Masterplan 2000, together with an analytical study on the implications of the proposals.
PCC writes:
“During a press conference held on September 13, 2004, and in unprecedented move, the Israeli Mayor in Jerusalem, Mr. Uri Lupolianski, disclosed a master plan “Jerusalem 2000″ for the City of Jerusalem to serve as a mandatory map for land use and a blueprint for other municipal planning purposes until the year 2020. The plan incorporates occupied East Jerusalem. The last time Israel approved a comprehensive plan for Jerusalem was in 1959. An attempt to issue a plan which incorporated occupied East Jerusalem was foiled in 1978. The public disclosure of the present master plan is politically and ideologically motivated, and comes at a time when Israel is precipitating its measures to undermine any future negotiations over the final status of the city. For the goal of scheme, as pronounced in the executive.”
